frequently asked questions
“The knowledge that every day there is something more to learn, something higher to reach for, something new to make for others, makes each day infinitely precious.”
Where is ivrt located?
Ah, that’s a good question, thank you for asking it! IVRT is people, not a place. We partner with theatres and other organizations so that our company of artists have a place to perform, which is what they do so well. But a “brick-and-mortar” theatre building of our own is something we do not have. Having said that, here are some more details that might help you find us:

When are IVRT auditions?
It depends. Traditionally, IVRT has held auditions in December or January for the entire upcoming season (our season runs from January to December). Please check back often or fil out the form on our Contact page (HERE).
How can I find out about IVRT auditions?
Like our page on Facebook (HERE) and Instagram (HERE) and check the page around November 1.
Does IVRT send out audition notices?
We do! If you want to receive audition notices, go to our Contact page (HERE) and fill out the form. We will send you audition notices. Please note, we might also send you information about other events and such. If you only want to receive audition notices, please tell us, or update your information via our email provider, the delightfully cheeky MailChimp.
DOES IVRT PRE-CAST ITS PRODUCTIONS?
IVRT is a repertory company featuring a resident ensemble of actors who regularly appear in its productions. While some roles may be pre-cast with company members or guest artists, IVRT holds open auditions annually for most shows. All experienced performers are welcome to audition unless otherwise noted in the audition call. IVRT is committed to transparency by clearly indicating any pre-cast roles from the outset.
Does IVRT teach any classes for adults and children?
Yes! Our educational outreach program includes our summer Camp IVRT, our mini Camp IVRT, Beginning Musical Theatre and Audition Skills. For adults, it varies. More information can be found HERE.
Will IVRT donate tickets for my nonprofit organizations fundraiser?
IVRT receives many solicitations for donations, and we try to donate to each one if we can. To apply to receive a donation, please visit HERE.
