Character Breakdowns: Seeking a cast of 22 with great comedic timing and voices and the ability to move well. (dancers must tap).
Prepare to sing up to 16 bars of a Broadway Song that shows your range.
Accompanist provided. Bring sheet music – no recordings.

AUDITION BY APPOINTMENT:
Sat., Aug. 22 from 10AM -1PM. OR Sun. Aug. 23 from 2-5pm at Taylor Hall 1775 Indian Hill Blvd., Claremont.
NO VIDEO SUBMISSIONS. If appointments are full, we encourage you to attend and will see you as audition flow permits.
CALLBACKS: The callbacks are scheduled for Thursday, August 27 at 7:00pm at Lewis Family Playhouse in Rancho Cucamonga where the production will be performed as part of their 2026-27 season.
PERFORMANCE DATES: (8 performances) October 16-25, 2026 at LEWIS FAMILY PLAYHOUSE in Rancho Cucamonga at Victoria Garden.
REHEARSALS BEGIN: September 12 (follows basically a Saturday & Sunday daytime plus Monday & Wednesday evening schedule for the most part until tech.)
Pay is $20 per hour, starting from the time actors are called. Pay may vary for specific contracted rehearsals. Performers under 18 will receive a participation scholarship. Ages 16 and 17 are encouraged to audition.
All characters are required to sing with legit voices and the ability to belt. Village Dancers/ Performers will be required to tap dance during the auditions. Please bring tap shoes. ‘Seasoned’ performers will have a modest movement routine to learn with no tap.
CHARACTER DESCRIPTIONS
Character Description: (all roles open EXCEPT Dr. Frankenstein and The Monster)
DR. FREDERICK FRANKENSTEIN – already selected guest equity performer.
THE MONSTER - already selected performer.
IGOR – Male, any age. Vocal range: Bb2-G4 – Tenor/Baritone. Frederick’s faithful, bright-eyed, eager servant and friend with a hunchback.
INGA - Female, 20 to 30. Vocal range: G3-A5 – Soprano/Mezzo. Frederick’s young assistant. Attractive resident of Transylvania. Must be able to belt and yodel.
ELIZABETH BENNING - Female, 25 to 40. Vocal range: F#3-F5 – Soprano/Mezzo. Frederick’s boisterous fiancé. Big belter.
FRAU BLÜCHER - Female, 40 to 65. Vocal range: E3-C5 – Mezzo/Alto. Stern housekeeper of the Frankenstein estate and former lover of Victor Frankenstein. Strong belt and accent work.
INSPECTOR HANS KEMP - Male, 40 to 50. Vocal range: A2-F4 – Baritone/Bass. The head of police in Transylvania. Driven by justice, with a wooden arm and leg.
THE HERMIT/VILLAGER - Male, 30 to 60. Vocal range: Ab2-F4. A lonely, blind town hermit, hoping for a friend. Non-dancer.
DR. VIKTOR von FRANKENSTEIN /VILLAGER– Male, 40 to 70.
ENSEMBLE - Various: Telegraph Boy, Gravediggers, Villagers, Medical Students, Passengers, Mad Scientists. All genders, ages 16-to-76. 6 performers must tap. Others just need to move/limited dancing required.
