Students from Camp IVRT perform in "Oliver!"

at the Grove Theatre in Upland August 6 - 21

Led by a cast of 60 adults and children, Oliver! is the musical based on the novel Oliver Twist by Charles Dickens. Songs from the musical include "Consider Yourself," "Food, Glorious Food" and "As Long as He Needs Me" as well as the title song "Oliver."

Frank Minano will portray Fagin, the sinister yet lovable old man who teaches his cohorts how to "Pick a Pocket or Two." Minano is the co-founder and producing artistic director of IVRT Inland Valley Repertory Theatre.

For the past several years, IVRT has collaborated with the Grove to offer children the experience of participating in a fully staged production of a family style show. Students from the summer Musical Theatre Camp IVRT have been featured in productions of "The Music Man," "Bye Bye Birdie" and "Fiddler on the Roof."

Tickets to "Oliver" are available at the Claremont Community School of Music at 951 West Foothill Blvd. (behind Baskin Robbins), or by calling the Grove at (909) 920-4343.
